  1. Hello and thanks! Sure, that's fine by me.
  2. Greetings and good time of the day to you! I would like to apply to your guild. Character name: Testament Class: Warrior Level (must be 80): 80 indeed. Talents: Fury (19/52/0) Regarding talent and glyph choices: in Arms tree, improved rend - for increasing effectivness of rend, when I get a chance to pull it off; Anger Management - in some cases where rage inflow is not very desirable, this can prove efficient. The other option would be taking Improved Berserker Ragein Fury tree, although I don't like this talent much since it's use is more limited and in most cases I do not get to use it at all. Then in Fury tree we have no points spent in Unbridled Wrath (with current gear levels it's not really needed)in favor of Booming Voice and Commanding Presence which are both useful for buffing raid with Commanding Shout and occasionally debuffing mobs with demoshout when the tanks are busy with other things like gaining threat on a target; Enrage 1/5 might seem an arguable choice, however on some fights it can prove to be a DPS increase, such as Marrowgar and of course while clearing trashmobs where all dps warriors are drawing aggro on themselves from time to time. Heroic Fury - I don't think that it needs any discussion, this talent is a must-have and can be either a life saver or a huge dps increase, especially on fights where you need to move about a lot. EDIT1: Didn't write anything about glyphs, that's because there're no arguable choices and there's nothing else to take in PvE, except for Glyph of Cleaving can be replaced either by Glyph of Rending or Glyph of Execution, but current content favors cleaving too much to do that. Are you willing to respec if needed?: Sure. We've had mostly defined raid setup (which explains some of my talents choices as they were usually compensated by another warrior in raid, and vice versa) in my previous guild, and changing a spec slightly is not a big deal if that does some good for someone. Also I have a decent experience in all three specs, be it PvE Arms or Protection. Used to tank and off-tank quite a lot. Link to Armory profile: here you are Timezone: GMT +03:00 Location: Moscow, Russian Federation Age: 22 Can you attend at least 2 out of 3 raids every week? Yeah, I can attend all 3 of them easily! Does your connection suck? In all honesty, no it doesn't. Here's some benchmark although it's not supposed to be entirely accurate. Disconnects due to failure of my ISP are very rare, and the ones I usually get are so called "random blizzard dc's" (some of you might have experienced them as well, they do not happen often as well but I have no idea whatsoever about their cause). Previous guild(s) and why did you leave it/them? My first raiding guild was a guild which consisted mostly of IRL friends. The name I do not quite remember since it was right after WoW release, but I reckon it was something like "Deathwish" on Stonemaul-EU. I was playing a warlock back then, we've managed to clear MC (around June2005) and Onyxia (a bit earlier). After that I decided to stop playing World of Warcraft for some time, since my 1st year in university was starting, and I focused on it. After that they disbanded not long after BWL was released, I think. When some of the Uni hassle was dealt with, I came back to the game, which happened about December 2006, when TBC was about to begin. I leveled a mage on Defias Brotherhood-EU, Gedo was his name, leveled him to 70 and got accepted in a local russian guild which was called <Netherstorm Front> and was formed as a result of top vanilla Horde guild splitting. The guild met it's demise around January 2008, after killing Illidan (the main reason was that half of the guild was from one time zone, while the other half was from +4, so that other half got quite tired of getting to sleep at 4 AM at every progress night). Shortly after that, I was invited to and joined then a top Horde european guild called <Ubiquity>. With them we've raided for these last 2.5 years (I've rerolled warrior before wotlk launch, was playing him as an alt before that for a year or so), and unfortunately the guild was disbanded on 08.09.2010, just some weeks ago, due to internal problems. If you wonder about what sort of problems these were, then I'll say they were related mostly to very poor player base (skill-wise) our RP realm had to offer. If you want to hear more then I can tell you in private. If you are currently in a guild, did you inform the officers about applying here? Nah, I am guildless at the moment and I believe they wouldn't care Are you applying to other guilds than Heretic? No, I do not. Who do you know in Heretic? At the moment, no-one! EDIT1: Found out that Featherstomp applied here and got accepted, so that makes him someone I know in Heretic. ^^ Why do you want to join Heretic? Firstly, the main reason is your raid times which are almost exactly what we had in my old guild (3 days as well) and that suits me and my lifestyle very well indeed. Secondly but that's a very important reason as well is that your raiding progress, which seems excellent when you raid so little time per week. And in third, but no the least, is because you are looking for warriors! What's your raiding experience? So far I've managed: in vanilla: 1. UBRS! 2. Onyxia 3. Molten Core in tbc 4. Karazhan 5. Gruul's Lair 6. Magtheridon's Lair (after trash nerfs, but before cube nerfs) 4-6 were done in first half of 2007; 7. Serpentshrine Cavern (vashj on July-August 2007 as far as I can remember) 8. Tempest Keep (kael'thas killed in september2007, before any of the nerfs came) 9. Mount Hyjal 10. Black Temple 11. Sunwell Plateau 4/6 (have had very good entropius phases on mu'ru, but unfortunately that was high summer and people were not active at all, or on holidays) 9-11 were done before 3.0.2 nerfhammer hit; after that everyone cleared everything in wotlk: 12. Naxxramas 10 and 25 about a weekend after we got lvl 80's; we havent got all the achievements though, since most people were interested in loot. 13. Sartharion 25 and 10 the twilight zone - in 25 we've managed it around december 2008, in 10 it took us longer to get a proper setup since that was very important, the main hindering fact was a lack of DK tank) 14. Malygos 10 and 25 and all achievements there before ulduar hit; 15. Ulduar 10 and 25: here we've managed most of hard modes before trial of the crusader hit, with exception of one light in the darkness (about september 2009) and alone in the darkness which we haven't done at all but had many wipes on it, reaching phase 3) 16. Trial of the Crusader 10 and 25 - cleared fully; 17. Trial of the Grand Crusader 10 and 25 - 10man we've managed to get everything but tribute to dedicated insanity due to people not being interested enough; in 25 however we were only able to reach tribute to mad skill with 48 tries left, before ICC hit. Main reason of wipes was a tank death in phase 3. 18. Icecrown Citadel 10 and 25 - progress is 11/12 heroic modes on both difficulties, had plenty of wipes on heroic LK both 10 and 25 though and know phases and my part of the job pretty good. Progress has more or less stopped for us after putricide death in May, due to summer and other reasons :\ Can you provide a log of your performance in a raid? Unfortunately that is, I believe, the weakest part of my application. I have only one log, the one where I logged on our very last guild raid (after my summer vacation which I took due to immense heat which was all about the place almost whole summer and in late July-August became unbearable), so I was quite rusty. My gear also was a bit obsolete (which was for 2 reasons, first one is that I was awarded with a massive amount of GP (we've used EPGP loot distrib system) for getting guild-first Shadowmourne which denied further upgrades for quite some time ahead, and the other being very poor luck on heroic Protector tokens dropping). But still I consider it decent enough after not playing for a month and other people getting upgrades all that time. Here they are anyway: Marrowgar Deathwhisper Festergut (here I fucked up badly due to being rusty, forgot to look at the floor for goo and in the end missed spores and died. a fuck up is a fuck up indeed) Putricide All in all about that raid I've mostly enjoyed the evening with people I've been playing for so long, and I did not think about WoL much (which I somewhat regret now) and helped other warrior with sundering targets fully by myself so he maxed out his dps, since he was going to apply to some very hardcore raiding guild. If you compare the abilities used and their quantity then it'll be essentially the same, with difference coming from gear and other some non raid-wide buffs (like Hysteria). Why do you play the class and spec you play? In what way do you think you will improve our raids? I've played with most of the classes WoW has to offer, and by far I find warrior most suiting to my liking. Fury warrior combines great mobility with great damage, and the whole concept of warrior design is quite awesome, except for some flaws that were buggering the class for years since release date. To raids I can bring high raid attendance (my raid attendance in 3 previous guilds was not less than 95%, in last 2 years for example before I took a break I missed only 2 raids, one due to being ill and the other where I had some pressing IRL matters to deal with). And with high raid attendance I can bring high sustained damage (at least on this stage, and if in Cataclysm warrior will still be able to top meters then I'll be able as well). I am a kind of player who always puts maximum effort in what he does, be it dps on trashmobs, dps on boss targets or getting ready for raid (necessary flasks, buff food, potions and other expendable materials), or getting ready for a new encounter (knowledge-wise). What can you bring to the guild? A dedicated to what he does player, with mature and sociable character and desire to be the best in his league. Also I have a massive collection of Blacksmithing plans and Engineering schematics, it's not everything but most of it. Do you have the following addons or programs? DeadlyBossMods: I used to, but switched to Deus Vox Encounters back when we progressed on heroic Festergut, since it announced with a sound when the goo was launched, before it the shot became visible on the floor. Omen: Yes, certainly. Mumble: Yes, we've used the very same voicecomm app in my previous guild. Anything else you'd like to add? Perhaps to those who's interested my UI screenshot: (taken about May 2010) and my keybindings Battle Stance Defensive Stance Berseker Stance My raiding PC is: Intel C2D E8400 3.00@3.40GHz, 2gb ddrII pc-8500, nVidia geforce 9800gt with 1gb of vram. FPS was an issue only on onyxian whelps, but that's blizzard to blame. I'll upgrade it proper for Cataclysm if this proves necessary.
